The Poseidon x CSI Theseus PDW M4 AEG is a newly released product that was also developed in collaboration with Acetech (Best known for their Tracers). The goal in mind was to compete in the lower-end AEG market to offer what could be one of the best value for money!


With an unusual start for a review, the "Bad" thing about the Theseus is the model was created to compete in price so most of the external construction is "plastic-fantastic". In return, this helps keep the overall price and weight low. For those that are after a more realistic or premium feel, this will not cater to your tastes.

Now hold on to your horses because the "Pros" and features on this sub-$450 AEG will absolutely blow you away! 

  

Out of the box, the Theseus will come with:

Medusa Electronic Control Firing Unit with Bluetooth & APP - The Theseus comes with the Medusa ECU & Mosfet co-developed by AceTech, a Bluetooth Wireless Electronic Control Unit that you can connect via an App on your Mobile phone to adjust for further trigger settings, select fire options and even the Built-In Tracer unit! This also means that the unit is ready for 11.1V LiPo batteries out of the box!


Acetech Built-In Tracer - Yes, you heard me right. Acetech part of the collaboration is the Hop Unit built-in tracer unit that both supports Green or Red Tracer BBs! This can be easily turned on or off via the trigger or Mobile App.


220rd Mid-Cap Mag - If these two features weren't already enough, the Theseus comes with a PMAG looking 220 round Mid-Cap (no-winding) magazine! Almost unheard of with any Out-of-the-box AEG!



Internal Goodies - Now internally, the Quick Spring Change gearbox features 8mm Bearings, a Silent POM Piston head, cylinder head and a Full Steel Teeth Rack Piston for extra durability!


External Goodies - The Theseus does come with a Straight Trigger which works in tangent with the ECU and adjustable settings for very responsive trigger pulls. Other notable features are the Ambidextrous Selector and PDW type stock with a large battery compartment.



This is an absolutely incredible disruptor in the market for price vs features! I'd definitely place the Poesidon x CSI Theseus in a sweet spot amongst the low-to-mid-end competition like G&G and Arcturus!
