The M110A1 is a U.S. military designated marksman / sniper rifle platform based on the German Heckler & Koch HK417 system. It is a semi-automatic precision rifle chambered in 7.62×51mm NATO. The M110A1 is the U.S. Army’s improved version of the earlier M110 Semi-Automatic Sniper System (SASS).
