E&C Colt M203 Long-Type Grenade Launcher - DE

The M203 is an under-barrel grenade launcher designed to attach to a rifle, most famously the M16 rifle and later the M4 carbine. It gives an individual soldier the ability to fire 40mm grenades for explosive, smoke, illumination, or less-lethal effects. Introduced during the Vietnam War in the late 1960s it was designed to replace the bulkier standalone M79 grenade launcher. It has seen service with U.S. forces and many other militaries worldwide for decades and became iconic because it allowed a standard infantry rifleman to instantly gain explosive capability without carrying a separate launcher.

The Long version of the M203 is better equipped on M4 Carbines or M16 length barrels which are from 14.5″ onwards. This is so the barrel from the grenade launcher doesn’t extend further than the barrel of the rifle. Loading the launcher is easy, just press the release lever on the side and slide the tube forward all the way,

The 3 mounts in the box are designed to make the launcher fit on different platforms. The first one, which is already preinstalled, is the barrel mounted version for the M4 series. It clips into the outer barrel at the rear and then hooks over the outer barrel on the front. The second mount is a 20mm RIS mount which will make the launcher fit onto any 20mm picatinny rail and the third mount is is like the rear barrel mount, but is able to fit onto Tokyo Marui standard M4’s where the delta ring is a slightly different design.
