The Advanced Police Carbine (APC) series was designed for the demands of today’s police, special forces, and military units around the world. US Army Adoption

B&T USA in 2018 was one of six companies that submitted designs to the Army for what the service termed “Sub Compact Weapons.” These guns, “capable of engaging threat personnel with a high volume of lethal and accurate fires at close range with minimal collateral damage,” were to be used by the special teams tasked with protecting high-value officers and dignitaries such as the Supreme Allied Commander Europe, the commander of U.S. Forces Korea, as well as units like CID.

In the end, the contract awarded in 2019 was worth just $2.5 million for 350 SCWs, with an option for up to 1,000 of the weapons. However, B&T beat out a field of big names in the gun world such as SIG Sauer, whose Copperhead was seen as a forerunner. The Air Force subsequently followed up with its own small contract for SCWs in 2020. 

The military originally courted a baker’s dozen gun makers to submit designs for the SCW program, including Angstadt, Colt, CMMG, CZ, Heckler & Koch, Lewis Machine & Tool, Noveske, PTR, Quarter Circle, and Zenith Firearms — the literal A-to-Z in compact guns. This gave B&T huge bragging rights.

B&T Air APC9 Series Airsoft SMGs are now available as AEGs!

Built with the same high quality materials as our GBB series, the APC9 AEG series come with a 6061T6 CNC Aluminum upper receiver, finished in MILSPEC TYPE III Hard Anodized coating. These 1:1 licensed replicas are built exactly to B&T’s original specifications, using original B&T blueprints. Every detail is meticulously crafted, using the best materials and made with the utmost care. We have simply built, the best performing, most detailed, and best valued replica SMG AEG, period.

During the design phase of this product, our engineers had to overcome some key obstacles. As a B&T Air licensed replica, the factory dimensions must be retained. Creating a slightly oversized replica was out of the question, as we deemed design shortcuts as inferior engineering and a disrespect to B & T and our customers. Utilizing a proprietary gearbox design was also deemed unacceptable as our market research shows that customers prefer an original version II type gearbox above all else. With the limited amount of space available, our engineers came up with a clever solution to position the hop up chamber further forward in the upper receiver, and designed a front feeding magazine that fed BBs forward into a custom designed hop up chamber. In the end, we achieved our objective, with no shortcuts or compromises.

We then turned our attention to the heart of our AEG, the internals. We turned to reputable AEG upgrade parts supplier Lonex of Taiwan for the gearbox and steel gears. As we manufacture many different versions for customers around the world, we had to have a gearbox that could withstand high power and high ROF custom builds. The resulting APC9 AEG gearbox is tough as nails. Factory testing passes the tests and, It withstood tens of thousands of rounds with a very high ROF and strong springs.

Our ETU is custom made for us by T238. You will similar ETUs as used by Silverback and other famous brands.
