SHS solid oil-less steel bushings are made from steel and do not feature any cross-slot or "oil channels" which can increase stress at specific points on the gear shaft and lead to potential gearshaft failure. Solid bushings are advantageous over bearing bushings due to the fact that small bearings are known to fail at extreme loads.
