NORTHEAST UZI MP2A1 FULL STEEL GAS BLOWBACK RIFLE [CO2 Version]

*CO2 Version - Comes with a Steel Bolt and CO2 Magazine

After World War II, a new nation was formed in an area where all its neighbors disapproved of its existence, a new weapon was needed to protect its borders and interests. A Major by the name of Uziel Gal designed a weapon to be more compact than its WW2 counter-parts, cheap to produce due to its use of sheet metals and that it is more ergonomic as reloads became more intuitive, but he had a specific request that the gun should not be named after him. This weapon was known as the UZI.

The UZI is a submachine gun that is made during the 1950s for Israel to replace its stock of WW2 left over SMGs, it uses the open bolt design yet it is much compact compared to the WW2 relics as it uses a telescoping bolt and has the magazine housed in the pistol grip, making it quite modern and ergonomic at the time, it is the same reason as why West Germany decided to adopt the UZI as the Maschinenpistole MP2 to replace the aging MP1 which is the Italian WW2 subgun, the Beretta Model 38/49. The MP2A1 was developed in the 1960s for safety reasons, the charging handle has been enlarged to allow for easier cocking when wearing gloves and that the charging handle cannot be pulled once the gun is on safe, they also replaced the original 25 round magazines to 32 rounds. Germany although had started phasing out the MP2 in favor for the H&K MP5 and MP7 since 2006, however the MP2 was still seen in the hands of German tank crew as late as 2018.

The Northeast UZI Maschinenpistole MP2A1 Gas Airsoft SMG is a faithful replica of the West German military subgun, this replica replicated the real MP2A1 to a T, most of the gun is made of steel and has a parkerized finish, while the grips are of high quality polymers, just like the real gun. The gun has features that is almost exactly the same to the real gun, the bolt and charging handle will stay in place when the bolt is not charged completely, you also cannot charge the gun when the safety is engaged or when the grip safety is not pressed, the only thing not realistic about this replica is that it is an airsoft gun that fired 6mm BBs.

Compared to the Northeast STEN, it is much simpler to toggle dry fire on the MP2A1, as no longer will you need to disassemble the magazine to toggle, simply just toggle the switch on the magazine to activate dry fire or a last round cut off, this is great for some of us who just wanted to dry fire their gun at home.

Marking wise, the gun features the correct German markings and fire control markings are marked with D,E and S; D stands for Dauerfeuer which means continuous fire, E stands for Einzelfeuer which stands for single fire and S, Sicher which stands for Safe.
